
Getting married in Barbados requires that all of the following conditions are met:
- Valid Passports and Birth Certificates
- A Divorce decree if either party has been married before.
- If either party has been widowed, a certified copy of the previous marriage certificate and death certificate are required.
- In the case, where an applicant had a change of name, a deed poll (an affidavit) must be produced.
- Both parties must be over the age of 18 years old.
- Two witnesses to the ceremony are required to make the marriage legal.
- If documents are not in English it must be translated and stamped by the legal relevant authority.
- There is NO WAITING PERIOD to obtain a LICENCE
- Couple must apply for the marriage license in person
- The airline tickets used to travel to the island including the return tickets.
- A letter from the authorized officiating minister, who will be performing the ceremony

- Application for licence, $100.00
- Stamp Fee, $12.50
- If one of the persons getting married is a Barbadian the Application for licence and stamp fee respectively are $22.50 and $5.00
- There is no set fee for the officiating minister of the ceremony
